Garage arch trim repair - Moraine (January 2026)

Garage door opening trim rebuilt on a Moraine home, rotted backboards and archway replaced, sealed, and painted white against the stone facade.

Before photos focus on the arched garage header and side trim with worn, failing finish at the stone interface. After photos show crisp white arch and jamb trim, tight to the rough stone, with a clean paint finish. Selected keepers are the garage trim story; other exterior lines on the broader job (soffit/downspout) are not the hero of this photo set.

Scope

  • Remove rotted garage opening backboards (head and sides)
  • Install new archway/header and side trim at the garage door opening
  • Caulk and seal trim-to-stone and trim-to-structure joints
  • Prime and paint all new garage trim white
