Repairing rotting wood in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Indiana homes
Wood rot is rotting wood on, inside or around your house. The fact of the matter is that even if it’s treated or protected, wood will rot on your house. Commonly it happens around 12-17 years on a house. It starts to show in places like rake boards (near the roof), around doors and windows. Sometimes it’s due to bad flashing, poor design or the wood has just maxed out its life.

Why wood rot needs to be addressed
You want to get these areas fixed as soon as you start seeing signs of rot. A lot of wood rot leads to bigger problems and repairs. Such as structural damage, structural instability and leaks within the home. All of this increases the cost of repairs the longer you wait . This is why it is important to spot these early. It it will save you money time and headaches.
How we fix wood rot
We replace non-structural wood rot with a PVC material. The PVC material looks identical to wood. You can paint PVC any color you want. The reason we use PVC is because it does not rot. We do this so that the customer never has to worry about the problem happening again.
With structural wood rot we replace the wood section with treated lumber. We then cover the lumber with PVC and caulk to protect the section.
